Since Usama Bin Laden’s death, the court declared on 17 Jun 2011 that all existing charges against him (in the U.S.) would officially be dropped.  The official document dropping all of the charges show that the 9/11 attacks were never part of the government charges against Bin Laden.  You can also view Inconvenient Truth #5 for the FBI’s (former) wanted poster of Bin Laden, which never mentions 9/11.

Strange, isn’t it.  The entire war in Iraq and Afghanistan was built on the premise that Bin Laden was the mastermind behind 9/11 yet we either could not or would not charge him (although we did charge him with other crimes).
