With the winter olympics around the corner, it would be wise to revisit an article in the Daily Telegraph back on 27 Aug 2013, when “…Leaked transcripts of a closed-door meeting between Russia’s Vladimir Putin and Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan shed an extraordinary light on the hard-nosed Realpolitik of the two sides….”

The Saudi’s were offering the Russian’s an oil deal in exchange for the Russian’s giving up Assad’s head on a platter.  Russia’s Putin said they will stick by Assad, to which the article then states:

“…As-Safir said Prince Bandar pledged to safeguard Russia’s naval base in Syria if the Assad regime is toppled, but he also hinted at Chechen terrorist attacks on Russia’s Winter Olympics in Sochi if there is no accord. 

“I can give you a guarantee to protect the Winter Olympics next year. The Chechen groups that threaten the security of the games are controlled by us,”  he allegedly said.

Prince Bandar went on to say that Chechens operating in Syria were a pressure tool that could be switched on an off…”

So, we know now if there are terrorist attacks in Sochi, who to blame, our BFL (Best Friends For Life), the Saudi’s…the very same nation that all but one of the hijackers of 9/11 fame came from, and of course, the ones we are in bed with against Iran…but of course we think the RUSSIAN’s are somehow involved with the Boston Marathon bombings…
