Inconvenient Truth #95: The Samsung Smart TV

Do you really think it’s only the Samsung Smart TV?  Think again…

Samsung has warned people against discussing sensitive and private information in the vicinity of its new smart televisions – because it will be translated into text and stored in a central computer.

The new privacy policy for the voice-activated television allows the company and its partners to listen in on everything that people say.

The policy states: “Please be aware that if your spoken words include personal or other sensitive information, that information will be among the data captured and transmitted to a third party through your use of voice recognition.

“While Samsung will not collect your spoken word, Samsung may still collect associated texts and other usage data so that we can evaluate the performance of the feature and improve it.”

Samsung insists that the data is encrypted to keep it safe, and points out that owners can disconnect their TV from wifi to keep their data secure.

In a statement it said: “In all of our Smart TVs we employ industry-standard security safeguards and practices, including data encryption, to secure consumers’ personal information and prevent unauthorised collection or use.”

However, without an internet connection the voice recognition feature stops working entirely.

While lots of voice-recognition devices use an internet connection to better translate sounds into actions, the storing and sharing with third parties is a particular privacy concern for some Samsung users.

The privacy policy was first highlighted by a Reddit user, and many of the comments compared the situation to the telescreens described in George Orwell novel 1984.

In the book, Orwell wrote: “Any sound that Winston made, above the level of a very low whisper, would be picked up by, moreover, so long as he remained within the field of vision which the metal plaque commanded, he could be seen as well as heard.”

Yousaf al Salafi – allegedly the Pakistan commander of Islamic State (IS) or Daish – has confessed during investigations that he has been receiving funds through the United States.

Law enforcing agencies on January 22 claimed that they arrested al Salafi, along with his two companions, during a joint raid in Lahore.

“During the investigations, Yousaf al Salafi revealed that he was getting funding – routed through America – to run the organisation in Pakistan and recruit young people to fight in Syria,” a source privy to the investigations revealed to Daily Express on the condition of anonymity.

Sources said al Salafi’s revelations were shared with the US Secretary of State John Kerry during his recent visit to Islamabad. “The matter was also taken up with CENTCOM chief General Lloyd Austin during his visit to Islamabad earlier this month,” a source said.

“The US has been condemning the IS activities but unfortunately has not been able to stop funding of these organisations, which is being routed through the US,” a source said.

“The US had to dispel the impression that it is financing the group for its own interests and that is why it launched offensive against the organisation in Iraq but not in Syria,” he added.

Inconvenient Truth #93: A premonition of the Georgian False Flag

Yeah...it's about the money.

Yeah…it’s about the money.

In the DOD story “U.S. Trainers to deploy to Ukraine” dated January 22, 2015, (archived here) we learn the U.S. is preparing to send U.S. troops AND equipment to help the Ukraine:

“…The American training effort comes as part of a US State Department initiative “to assist Ukraine in strengthening its law enforcement capabilities, conduct internal defense, and maintain rule of law” Pentagon spokeswoman Lt. Col. Vanessa Hillman told Defense News.…”

Do you remember when you heard similar language before?  I do:

It was a military exercise called “Immediate Response 2008“, when American and other NATO forces went into Georgia, providing same type of training right up to, and including the Georgian excursion into South Ossetia.  American forces were helping Georgian troops (along with Israel, we might add), and the NYT gave the evidence that Georgia, not Russia was the ones who initiated the short war as proved by U.N. observation posts

And what was behind this war?  Why the oil pipelines for Israel! and the savvy Senator who pretends to be a moderate called John McCain who also is in bed with the Ukrainian Nazi’s who overthrew the Democratically elected President. (see HERE and HERE)

Yes, sadly, then, as now, we are causing conflicts to secure our corporation’s profits.

Hopefully I am wrong, but this may be the precursor “signal” that at least a minor war will begin soon in the region.  I hope not, and will watch as events unfold in that area of the world…
